Sodium Chloride De Icing Salt
is a Cost-Effective Way to Melt Ice
If you have a big ice melt job, or if you simply need an economical way to keep parking lots and walkways free of ice, de icing salt is a great solution. De icing salt, or sodium chloride, is easy to use, store, and apply. It spreads easily by hand or via commercial spreaders and requires no special handling or storage. In addition, the granular nature of de icing salt provides extra traction on slippery walkways and parking lots.
De icing salt works best in moderately cold temperatures, typically down to about -9ºC. For colder temperatures, you may need a more powerful product, such as our ice melter or ice melter with traction.
