When you’re dealing with miles and miles of icy roads, you need a reasonably priced, effective deicing product. Road salt has been used for years to keep roads safe, and it still works great today.
Road salt is an inexpensive way to melt road ice, and it’s easy to store and apply. It doesn’t clump or harden, like some ice melters, and it flows easily through commercial spreaders. As an ice melter, it’s good to about -9ºC.
